Exhibitors requiring light or power at times other than during the hours in which the Trade Fair is opened to the public, shall apply to the Trade Fair Manager. Such application shall be made before noon on the day such lighting is required.

Exhibitors shall, if required by the Organizers to do so, increase or reduce the intensity of lighting on their stands so that the general lighting scheme of neighbouring stands shall not be prejudicially affected,

Application should be made to the Trade Fair Manager in case of difficulty arising in any matter connected with the electric supply.

Charges for Current, Meters & Connections.

Lighting embodies radio, fans, light and Neon Lights. Power embraces everything else.

Rental of meters will be charged at the following rates:—

Single Phase: 15 amperes, 50c. per month; over 5 to 30 amperes, $1.00 per month; over 30 amperes; $2.00

Three Phase: $2.00 per month, any capacity.

Connections will be charged at the usual rates of the China Light & Power Co., Ltd.

Exhibitors must make a deposit with their application for light to the China Light & Power Co., Ltd. the amount of which depends upon the quantity of lighting or power required.

The China Light & Power Co., Ltd. will provide meter cards, one for each meter, which will be attached to each meter. Meters will be read at the opening and closing of the Trade Fair, the readings will be entered on the meter card, and the certificate of the China Light & Power Co., Ltd. as to the cost shall be final and binding.

Gas, Water & Drainage.

10. Exhibitors shall not interfere in any way with the gas or water mains and fittings. Gas, water and drainage pipes can only be laid by special arrangement with the Organizers' Architect who will give estimates of cost.

Manager.

No supplies of gas, water or drainage will be permitted without the written authority of the Trade Fair

Fires, Stoves, etc., Machinery, Boilers, etc.

II. Exhibitors who require the use of fires, stoves, electric radiators or kettles, machinery in motion, steam and hot water boilers and any vessels containing air, gas, or liquid under pressure, must comply with the requirements of the Hongkong Government, concerning such installations, etc. Flues are required for all stoves in which fires are slight and such Aues must be carried to the outside air and can only be fitted to stands in certain parts of the main Building close to the outer walls. Exhibitors using machinery or apparatus requiring foundations must make application to the Trade Fair Manager for permission for the construction of such foundations and will be liable for any damage caused in connection with the construction and removal thereof,

Oil & Spirit for Heating, Lighting, Power, Handicraft, Cleaning Fluids, Polishes, Paints, Scents, etc. Exhibitors who require to use oil or spirit of any kind for heating, lighting, power or handicraft must comply with the requirements of the Hongkong Government.

Petrol or any spirit of like rature must not be used, except in very small quantities, and then only when absorbed in a suitable material.

Fluids, paints, scents or other liquid or pastes, etc. containing inflammable spirit can only be brought into the building in very limited quantities in containers which are not likely to be broken casily.

Exhibitors who consider that they may infringe this regulation should immediately submit details of their Exhibits to the Trade Fair Manager.

Fire Insurance and Inflammable Exhibits.

13. No Exhibitor shall do anything to jeopardise the current insurance policies or licences, and every Exhibitor shall in all cases comply with the special or any requirements of the fire insurance offices or other authorities concerned.

Lamp shades must be constructed of non-inflammable material. Ordinary cotton or paper lamp shades must not be used with lighted lamps.

Celluloid or any other highly inflammable Exhibits can only be shown in limited quantities and under special conditions approved by the Trade Fair Manager.

Candles and other naked lights will not be permitted.

Alteration of Plan of Trade Fair.

14. The Organizers will accept no liability in regard to the closing of any part of the Trade Fair premises and they reserve the right to replan or alter the layout of stands.

Should any error arise in the allotment of space to any Exhibitor no liability in regard thereto shall be deemed to rest on the Organizers. In any case the Organizers will endeavour, without prejudice, to offer a substituted arrange- ment, but it does not bind itself to do so.

Deception of the Public.

15. No deception of visitors of any kind will be allowed. Anything which has not been properly described in the application for space, or which has not been approved of by the Organizers (which approval must be in writing and signed by the Trade Fair Manager) shall not be exhibited or displayed, and the Organizers reserve the right to refuse admission to or enforce the removal from the Trade Fair at any time of any article or Exhibit, notice, etc, which it may deein unsuitable or dangerous or otherwise objectionable whether the shall have been specified in

the Exhibitor's application for space or not, without assigning any reason for so doing, and the Organizers shall be under no liability whatsoever in respect of any article or exhibit so refused or removed,

Prohibited Exhibits.

16. In no circumstances may the following be brought into the Trade Fair :-

Explosives of any kind or fireworks.

Liquid Acetylene.

Toy balloons filled with inflammable gas.

Gaseous or other substances which give off noisome odours.

In the event of any breach of this regulation the Organizers may forcibly remove the offending exhibit.

Cinematograph Displays.

17. In no circumstances shall any cinematograph apparatus or film be introduced into the building of the Trade Fair, unless the permission in writing of the Organizers has first been obtained,

Lecturing from Stands.

18. An Exhibitor shall not lecture from his stand or address visitors generally in such a way as to collect a crowd in the gangways likely to be an annoyance or danger to neighbouring Exhibitors, or visitors, and any Exhibitor doing any of these things may be removed from the building and refused readmission, his stand may bc dismantled by the Organizers at his expense and risk, and any moneys which he may have paid in respect of the said stand shall be forfeited by the Exhibitor, and the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to any compensation for removal from the Trade Fair or for the dismantling of his stand, and the Organizers may re-let or occupy or deal with his space in whatever way they may choose.

No Sub-letting.

19. Exhibitors will not be allowed to assign, transfer, sub-let or divide their space or any part thereof, and all exhibits must be in the name of the actual Exhibitor to whom space has been allotted. Organizers shall have power to remove the exhibit of any firm or person who is found to be a sub-tenant or assignee of an Exhibitor, unless full particulars of the exhibit have first been submitted to the Trade Fair Manager and written permission to display it obtained. No firm's name except that of the actual Exhibitor, shall be displayed on a stand, nor shall literature "or" handbills, in respect of goods, other than those of the actual exhibit, be given away without the consent in writing of the Trade Fair Manager,

Abandonment of Exhibition.

20. If by reason of fire, war, force mejeure, act of God, strikes, boycotts or civil commotion, public calamity (such as the death of the King or Queen or any prominent personage) the requirements of the Hongkong Government or other duly constituted authority, failure of supplies of electricity, gas or water, or any other cause beyond the control of the Organizers, it shall become practically impossible or highly inadvisable in the opinion of the Organizers to carry out the purpose of the Trade Fair, the Organizers may close or abandon the same and determine this contract at any time on giving the Exhibitor notice hereof in writing, and the Exhibitor shall not be entitled to any compensation whatsoever in respect thereof nor to any repayment of any amount paid.

The Organizers shall not be liable for any loss Exhibitors may sustain, nor shall any abatement be made in rents paid or due to be paid by Exhibitors on account of the Hongkong Government or other authorities inter- fering to prevent or restrict users of the Trade Fair premises or any part thereof in any particular manner.

Goods Delivery during Trade Fair.

21. No goods other than small articles which can be carried by hand may be delivered at or removed from stands during such hours as the Trade Fair is open to the Public, and all packing cases received during the early morning must be removed from the building onc hour before the Trade Fair opens to the public,

Conduct of Assistants.

All Exhibitors and persons attending the Trade Fair on behalf of Exhibitors must be neatly dressed and at all times courteous and of seemly behaviour, and shall not solicit or annoy the public or other Exhibitors in any way or create any nuisance. Any person so offending will be expelled from the Trade Fair by the Organizers and not allowed to re-enter. No assistant or principal at any stand will be allowed to perambulate or occupy any of the gangways either for demonstrating, selling, or advertising any of the goods in the Trade Fair. No musical in- strument shall be sounded, nor shall any noise be produced which shall in the opinion of the Organizers constitute a nuisance or annoyance. No betting or gambling is allowed. The Organizers also reserve the right to refuse admission to or to remove from the Trade Fair any person without assigning any reason for so doing.

Damage by Exhibitors, Infringement of Licences, etc.

23. The Exhibitor will indemnify the Organizers against all costs, charges, expenses, losses or claims which the Organizers or any of its Contractors may become liable fus in consequence of damage or injury occasioned by the aur default or negligence of the Exhibitor, his representatives, servants, or workmen, or any other person or persons under his directions, whether to the floors, walls, or doors of the building, o. otherwise, or by the infringe- ment of any licences, copyrights, etc. or by any breach of Clause 16 hereof.

Injury by Machinery or Exhibits. Loss or Damage by Fire or Theft.

34. In case of any injury or damage being caused or occasioned by any exhibit during the Trade Fair to any person or persons, whether Exhibitors, visitors, or employees, or to any property or any part of the building, the Exhibitor to whom such exhibit belongs will indemnify the Organizers against all actions, expenses, costs, charges or claims arising out of such injury or damage. The Organizers can accept no responsibility for loss or damage sustained through the failure of Exhibitors or other persons to comply with these regulations.

Reasonable precautions will be taken to protect Exhibitors and their property, but the Organizers will not be responsible for loss or damage to or safety of any person or any exhibit, empty cases, tools, or other property in any circumstances whatsoever, and Exhibitors should effect their own insurance against all such risks.

Fire Precautions.

25. Exhibitors must in all respects comply with the requirements of the Hongkong Government Fire Brigade. Exhibitors shall be in a position to extinguish any small outbreak of fire that may occur on their stands with the minimum of damage to their exhibits and those of their neighbours. The Organizers will make arrangements to supply hand extinguishers at various points in the Trade Fair grounds for which cach Exhibitor will be charged the nominal rental o $5.00. Exhibitors shall see that attendants at their stalls are acquainted with their use and are also aware of the Dearest fire alarm.

Photographic Rights, etc.

26. No Exhibit may be photographed, drawn, copied, or reproduced without the permission of the Trade Fair Manager. The use of flashlight is prohibited during the hours the Trade Fair is open to the public.
